How Therapy With Me Works
Step 1: Free 15 min. Phone consultation
We start with a scheduled phone consultation in which we will discuss what brings you to therapy and see if we are aligned. If you decide to move forward with therapy, we will schedule a mental health assessment.
Step 2: Sessions
The first scheduled appointment is a mental health assessment. After the initial assessment, I see clients on a weekly/bi-weekly basis for 50 minutes. Sessions can be in person in Boise, ID or virtually as long as you are physically located in Idaho or Oregon.
Step 3: Treatment
In our first few sessions we will focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship, in my opinion this is one of the most important aspects for therapy to work. During this time we will also be setting the goals we will be focusing on. Treatment goals are important in therapy because they provide us with a structure to work on together in session. Because each human in nature is different, treatment duration will depend on a case by case basis.
